NC PreK Update Notice!

We have begun placing children at their assigned NC Pre-K site. This process typically takes a couple of weeks to complete. Assignment notifications will be sent via EMAIL, and will come from ssrncpk@gmail.com

Please monitor your emails daily for your notification. Once you receive the site assignment notice:
1.       Read carefully.
2.       Follow the directions to secure your child’s spot in their classroom or to request a different placement.
3.       The school will reach out to you to schedule Home Visits and let you know when the Open House will be as it gets closer to the first day of school (early August).
4.       Please email Smart Start Rowan if you have questions that are not answered in the email notification, ssrncpk@gmail.com. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we cannot answer questions about placement over the phone.

Smart Start Rowan is committed to the promise of helping all young children be safe, healthy, happy, and ready for success in school.

Smart Start Rowan is a non-profit organization formed by a group of concerned citizens in the early 1990s to address issues affecting young children in the county. Smart Start Rowan received acceptance for Smart Start funding in 1996.

The Board of Directors and working committees consisting of local volunteers lead the organization. Local decision-making by community leaders produces sound and good investments in the well-being of children from birth to age five.
