Request for Proposals – Smart Start Services Smart Start Rowan, a non-profit organization, is seeking proposals for the following contracted services: Assuring Better Child Health and Development (ABCD) Project, Reach Out and Read (ROR) Project, Community Awareness and Education. NC Pre-K is now accepting applications… Beginning on April 1, 2013, Smart Start Rowan will begin to accept NC Pre-K applications for the 2013-2014 school year. NC Pre-K is a state funded, high quality pre-kindergarten educational program designed to enhance school readiness and prepare four-year-olds for Kindergarten. It is a statewide pre-school program that provides a structured educational experience for four year olds that meet the age requirement of being the age of four on or before August 31 of the current year. Complete applications will be accepted beginning April 1, 2013 through June 28, 2013, and must include all of the required documentation. Smart Start Rowan will only accept completed applications to be reviewed for eligibility. Any application received after that day may be considered only if there are openings. If your child is accepted and placed in a school, you will be notified by mail. Child placement may not take place until early August. This program is based on limited available State funding. |
