Parents are a child’s first and most important teachers. Smart Start family support services and parent education are available to all families with young children. Special attention is given to families whose life circumstances make it more challenging to provide the environment their children need and deserve. Smart Start Rowan provides families with the education, information and resources they need as their child’s first and most important teacher.

Nurturing Parenting Program: Is a curriculum-based, parenting education program that works with the whole family. Families participate in 2 1/2 hour fun, educational sessions that meet weekly. At each session, adults and children take part in separate, age-appropriate activities as well as share food and family nurturing time together.
