Emergency Preparedness (Virtual)

August 24 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The goal of the Emergency Preparedness and Response in Child Care training for early educators is to provide early educators with the information, knowledge, and tools to prepare them for many types of emergencies.  The training curriculum provides a structural framework that covers the key issues involved in emergency preparation, response, and recovery. It discusses the decisions and information that will guide the completion of the EPR plan.  The EPR in Child Care training creates an opportunity to engage early educators in professional development and build their capacity to provide safer and better-quality early care. Early educators who complete the course will: Understand the five phases of EPR, know how to comply with the NC Child Care Rules that pertain to EPR, be prepared to complete their facility’s EPR Plan, and be ready to review the EPR Plan with staff members and families.
