Our vision for Rowan County is that the entire community will join with its families to ensure that every child grows up in a healthy, safe, supportive, nurturing environment with hopes instilled, dreams encouraged, and individually valued.

Our Mission
Smart Start Rowan will develop, or assist in the development of, services that foster growth, encourage learning, and provide resources and support to child care professionals & families of children, ages 0-5 in Rowan County.

Smart Start Rowan is seeking proposals/bids for contracted services for the following activities:

                                                              Smart Start Rowan is a non-profit organization led by local
                                                        volunteers, designed to provide programs and services for children
                                                                          and families in Rowan County, North Carolina                                                         

We work to:

• Invest Smart Start funds from the state legislature and private dollars to support                                                                        
  programs to benefit children age 0 - 5 and their families;

• Serve as a catalyst for bringing different groups together for the sake of the children;

• Educate the community on the critical needs of young children and help develop solutions.
