Need Help Finding Quality Child Care?
Smart Start Rowan pledges to educate the community about the availability, affordability, and quality of child care services in Rowan County. Each family's right and ability to choose the best care for their own children is respected. Services are available in Spanish and English.

There are two ways for parents to receive free referrals for child care. You can receive referrals online, coming soon. Or you can call or visit our office for our customized referral service.

1. Customized Referrals – Our most complete service is offered if you call or visit our office. Our friendly staff will take ten to fifteen minutes to gather information on your child care needs. Then, they will search our database to offer referrals that meet your families' needs. 

This FREE service will provide you with: 
     1) A list of child care options based on the expressed   
         needs of your family;
     2) Information about rates, policies, vacancies, licensing 
         standards and other information about child care;
     3) Guidelines on what to look for in quality child care;     
     4) Information about assistance paying for child care.

2. Internet Referrals - Do It Yourself On-Line ~ COMING SOON!
Simply register on our site and select the area in Rowan County where you need child care and you’re on your way.
